Bognor and Brighton remain winless, but at least their losing runs are over after a 17-17 draw at Hampshire Avenue.
It was 17-5 to Bognor at the break as a super 40-minute display was rewarded by tries from Robert Haste, Richard Hine and Rob Parry, who also kicked a conversion.
Bognor skipper Karl Flynn said: "I thought we were really in control but we lost our way and weren't as committed as we should have been in the second half."
Brighton missed a late penalty which could have won the game.
Lewes went down 35-22 at Dartfordians after making a terrible start to their top-of-the-table clash. They chose to go against the wind and slope in the first half and changed ends with 30-7 deficit.
Neil Rumble, who converted a first half penalty try, added a penalty then goaled Ben Sole's score and got over himself as Lewes quickly got back to 30-22.
They then lost their way with their handling and a mistake allowed Guy Farland to score the try which put the outcome beyond doubt.
