Sussex fast bowler James Kirtley took two wickets to improve his chances of playing in England's opening one-day international against Bangladesh on Friday.
Kirtley had Mohammad Ashraful caught at mid off in his new ball spell before returning to remove Tahla Jubair as he finished with 2-23 from 7.4 overs.
England beat the BCB Development XI by 161 runs in Dhaka after earlier making 328.
England got off to a flying start with Vikram Solanki (79 off 63 balls) and debutant Andrew Strauss (51) sharing a 146-run opening stand in only 20 overs.
But once they fell in successive overs the tourists lost their momentum despite a quickfire 43 from only 31 balls by stand-in captain Andrew Flintoff and a powerful 62 from Ian Blackwell.
England lost their way against the under-par BCB XI attack and surrendered their last six wickets for 68 runs with Kirtley, batting at No10, lbw to Jubair for five.
Left-arm spinner Ashley Giles was the pick of the England attack with 3-25 from his ten overs.
