Two fringe members of Albion's squad have been given permission by Mark McGhee to play in the first round of the FA Cup for other clubs.
David Lee is on loan to Thurrock, who entertain Luton tomorrow night.
Dean Hammond lines up for Leyton Orient at Grantham on Saturday.
Lee has not featured in Albion's first team since the departure of Peter Taylor.
The former Southend and Hull utility player is pleased to have an opportunity to put himself in the shop window.
Lee, on loan to Thurrock until Saturday week, said: "It's on Sky, so that might do me a favour.
"I'm just trying to impress the gaffer in training and see what he has to say when I come back.
"I've played three games for Thurrock. I missed the last Cup game, when they beat Dagenham and Redbridge.
"I wasn't sure what was going to happen with a new manager coming in, so it was better safe than sorry.
"The Thurrock manager rang the club up to ask if I can play in this one. I spoke to the gaffer and he said it would be fine."
Midfielder Hammond was back with Albion for a couple of days this week before returning to training with Orient today.
Former Seagulls Martin Ling and Ian Culverhouse are in caretaker charge at Brisbane Road.
"I was a first year here when Martin Ling came in on loan and I knew Culvs from the reservers and when he was a player here, so they know all about me and I get on well with them," said Hammond.
"I've just gone out to get some first team games and experience and enjoy my football again."
"Saturday is another chance to get another game under my belt, keep my fitness going and keep playing well.
"I've played four games and we've won two and drawn two. I've played well in most of them."
