Tony Mernagh's article on Toad's Hole Valley took me by surprise.
I was not surprised by the rhetoric, as this piece of land has always been looked on by the Labour group as a prime development site and obviously they are annoyed by its inclusion in the National Park, voted for recently by Conservatives and Greens.
What did interest me was Mr Mernagh's new title - executive director of the Brighton and Hove Economic Partnership. He was the City Centre Manager.
In my six months as Conservative Councillor for Central Hove, I have been constantly amazed by people moving around and job titles and contact numbers being changed.
Are they trying to confuse us?
-Councillor Averil Older, Hove
