A leading firm of architects has been presented with two awards for its work.
The RH Partnership from Brighton won them from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
Project architect Sarah Kemp collected the Instock Downland prize, which attracted 80 entries for work costing less than £500,000.
Her renovation at a home in Florence Road, Brighton, came just ahead of another entry by the same firm for work in Dyke Road.
She was given a brief to increase space and light from a cramped kitchen and under-used adjoining room, to allow more contact with guests and increase views of the garden and sky.
The solution included the replacement of a traditional bay window with a frameless glazed box, providing high and wide views.
Sarah said: "We work hard to produce contemporary designs for our clients and it's good for our efforts to be recognised."
The other prize was won in the heritage category for RH's restorative work at New Hall, Cambridge University.
RH, which also has a Cambridge office, has 48 staff. It is among design finalists for the Preston barracks site in Brighton.
