A 15-week-old baby and his teenage mother have gone missing.

Police were becoming increasingly concerned for the 18-year-old mum and her son, who have not been seen since yesterday.

Lauren O'Hare and baby Jack were living with family in Hartington Road, Brighton, but their movements after 11.30am on Thursday are a mystery.

Police said the mother and son were believed still to be in the Brighton area.

A spokesman said: "We want to trace them as quickly as possible to make sure they are safe and well."

Ms O'Hare is white, 5ft 4in, nine stone and has reddish shoulder-length straight hair, a pale complexion and blue eyes. She may have been wearing jeans, a T-shirt and black high-heeled boots.

Jack is chubby with blue eyes and was wearing a dark blue Gap jumper and all-in-one light blue coat.
