Bognor slipped out of the Bryco Cup when they lost 1-0 away to a Bedford Town who played the majority of the game with ten men.
With just eight minutes gone the home side were reduced to ten men after Liam Folds clearly pulled back Michael Birmingham as he was breaking through.
The Rocks took a grip on proceedings with Rob Collins, twice, and Steve Sargent going close.
But just before the whistle blew for half time Bedford took the lead when Daniel Purzycki noticed Bognor keeper Craig Stoner off his line and delightfully chipped in from 25 yards.
In the second half, Bognor continued to push forward with leading scorer Matt Russell going close on three occasions and Rupert Sansom also being denied.
With virtually the last kick of the game John Price was denied when he rattled the woodwork with a far post header.
