Radio station Southern FM has taken on a new DJ to present its mid-morning show.
Jo Jacobs, 25, will replace presenter Richard Reynolds, who was axed when the station announced it was revamping its output in a bid to reconnect with its core target audience aged 25 to 34.
Jo, originally from Kent, has moved down from Manchester and starts next Monday.
She said: "I went up to Manchester six years ago to start my first job in radio and then went to present news before getting my own show.
"I am really looking forward to living around here, especially because I will be by the sea. I am also looking forward to meeting new people.
"I love all sorts of music so there will be a great mix, although house music is my passion. I am very excited and just want to get started now."
Jo will be joining the Portslade-based station at the end of a year of upheaval and change.
Three popular presenters have been axed in the last nine months from what is the most listened-to radio station in Sussex.
The first high-profile victim of the station's bid to refresh its output was smooth operator Ambrose Harcourt, known as Dr Luurve, who left the station in March after his Love Zone show was axed.
He had to say goodbye despite a campaign by listeners desperate to save the cult late-night programme.
He was quickly followed out the door by Simon Barker Davies, better known as Moody, in July.
Moody, who had been with the station for five years, had his contract terminated shortly after hosting the station's annual Party in the Park.
Then, last month, the station announced it would not be renewing the contract of Mr Reynolds, a presenter for the last six years.
He is the husband of popular breakfast show presenter Nicky KeigShevlin was not enough to save him.
Jo replaces Reynolds on the weekday 10am to 1pm slot.
