Brighton and Hove Albion should get a few things straight regarding Michel Kuipers.
Firstly, his realistic transfer value would be £500,000 but if he was transferred the paltry offer would probably be between £100,000 and £150,000.
The ex-Brighton manager Peter Taylor, expected to get Kuipers on a free transfer.
I don't know what exotic substance he was indulging in. I note that he has pulled out of any deal while Kuipers is injured.
Mark McGhee should not entertain a silly offer from an ex-manager who left when things got tough.
Nor should he be swayed by approaches from Micky Adams or Steve Coppell. The backbone of the Brighton team is Kuipers, Cullip, Carpenter and Knight.
You can permutate the remaining players around them or get seven new players.
Any right-thinking Brighton supporter knows Michel Kuipers is the number one keeper. Roberts was brought in as an emergency replacement.
Bob Booker should realise this and advise the new manager accordingly.
I wish Kuipers a speedy recovery and let's stop all this nonsense and get him back as goalkeeper in the Brighton first team where he belongs.
