Lewes Priory will be competing in the Sussex Cricket League premier division next season.
There had been a doubt as to whether the club's promotion would be confirmed as the Stanley Turner Ground does not currently meet premier division criteria. However, club officials have made arrangements for first team games to be played on the Sussex University ground at Falmer next season.
It means that Lewes join St James as the promoted clubs while Stirlands and Worthing are relegated. With Pulborough elected to the league for 2004 it means that all clubs in both first and second XI competitions will play 18 league games between May 1 and September 4.
