Reading Karen Hoy's pet tales column (The Argus, November 30) about pet identification methods reminded me of an amusing conversation.
When I took my cat to the vet for her annual booster injection against cat "flu", I said to the vet: "While I'm here, can you check her microchip is still in place?"
He told me that "sometimes they do move" and once he had a dog in whose chip had moved off its nape onto its shoulder blade.
To which I replied: "He had a chip on his shoulder."
