Whitehawk boss Ian Chapman was delighted with his side's 2-1 win at Rye and Iden.
He said: "That is the best we have played against a good side all season."
Tommy Pattenden was involved in both goals as Hawks came from 1-0 down.
He levelled from a fine Simon Rowlands pass then made the opening for Kevin Townsend's winner.
East Preston soaked up East Grinstead pressure, then took over in the second half for a pleasing 3-0 away win.
Chris Hibberd scored his first goal since leaving Worthing while Lee Farrell and Matt Huckett also netted.
Sidley took the points against visiting rivals St Leonards with a 2-1 win.
Sidley's Kevin Rose and Dave Carey both went close before Saints went ahead after a defensive mix up allowed Jody Rickets to slot home. Matt Dadswell equalised moments later from an Owen Ball free kick and Ball was involved in Sidley's winner with 15 minutes to go. His cross was met with a superb volley by Jason Finch.
Hailsham Town put a dismal first half performance behind them to win 2-1 at Southwick.
Town boss Steve Latuske said: "We were awful at the start and just couldn't get the ball on the floor, but all credit to the boys after the break because every one of them played well and in the end we deserved the win."
Scott French and Nick Barden put Hailsham 2-0 ahead by the hour mark before the hosts pulled one back.
Sidlesham and Three Bridges drew 0-0 despite Bridges having a man sent off in the second half.
