There should be no tuition fees at all. We are hammered with the argument it is only right the beneficiaries of education pay for it - but why start with students?
Are we then going to say the good works of, say, EB4U, which is granted money by government to help disadvantaged areas such as Whitehawk, should be repaid by the beneficiaries - the people of Whitehawk?
Of course we aren't - because it is a benefit to society as a whole.
The NHS treats patients. Are we then to send out bills to them as beneficiaries of the NHS? It's exactly the same.
Most of us went to school and presumably were beneficiaries of education and few of us have received bills or massive debt as a result so nor should students.
We all pay taxes on our earnings and if extra reward is gained as a result of extra learning, then good luck to the students.
We will all gain from a vibrant economy with higher levels of tax as a result of these high earners.
