People who have second homes in Brighton receive 50 per cent discount on council tax (The Argus, December 8).
Chief finance officer Chris Taylor wants to reduce the discount to ten per cent.
While you are at it, Mr Taylor, how about giving single pensioners a bigger discount, say 40 per cent not the measly 25 per cent we get at the moment?
Our savings are being eaten away by increases imposed this year and will disappear altogether when the tax rises by the 14 per cent forecast for 2004.
