Three Bridges threw away a 3-1 lead at Andover as Sussex interest in the FA Vase came to an end.
A controversial late goal earned Andover a 4-3 win and condemned Bridges to the list of third round casualties alongside Whitehawk and Withdean.
Simon Funnell's free kick had drawn Bridges level by half time and they took a grip on proceedings in the second half thanks to Danny Smith's header and a great goal by top scorer Pat Massaro.
But Andover punished Bridges twice for losing possession in midfield and then struck the winner on 88 minutes amid appeals for offside.
Manager Sammy Donnelly said: "I am very disappointed because I thought we could have done better, especially being in the driving seat at 3-1.
"The dream's over now and we must get on with things. We must pick ourselves up and learn from our mistakes."
Withdean took a bare 11 players to Bideford and were overrun late on when the hosts introduced fresh legs in their 6-0 win. Mike Southgate hit four and former Torquay forward Leon Hapgood struck twice.
Withdean boss Bob Hitchcock said: "I am not disappointed because the boys will learn from this. Bideford are a useful side and it will be interesting to see how far they go."
