In response to Ian Manders' letter (December 22) regarding a giant wind turbine to replace the poor old West Pier to generate much-needed pollution-free electricity, I think it's a brilliant idea.
It could even be taken one step further.
By modifying it to accept a reverse flow of current when other demand is low, it would turn it into a giant fan.
Then it would blow away all the rubbish on the seafront.
