When are the authorities going to start taking action against illegal drivers?

The AA estimates one in four drivers in urban areas is driving illegally.

The police have access to insurance databases and can tell within seconds if a car is insured or not.

But if you report untaxed cars to them, they just don't want to know. They refer you to the DVLA, who also do nothing.

The only people the police crack down on are the easy targets, who they can convict with a minimum of effort.
