I read with interest the letter from JS Page (January 6), who welcomes architect Frank Gehry.
During the run-up to the elections on May 1, the main issue in my ward was the redevelopment of the King Alfred site.
The majority of central Hove residents, described by JS Peters as "minority hicksville parochials", were against the proposals. One of the reasons Councillor Jan Young and I were voted in was because of the Conservative opposition to the scheme.
JS Peters seems to be the only one who lives in the immediate vicinity of King Alfred, apart from ex-councillor Heather James, who is inspired by Gehry's plan.
