I find the continual parroting of the word "scenario" ridiculous.
It's a typical Americanism - a word more fitting to Glyndebourne theatre than world politics. The correct expression is "situation".
I find words such as "gobsmacked" stupid. More appropriate would be "surprised".
It's no wonder schoolchildren can't express the pure Anglo Saxon language when papers, TV and commentators cannot use correct word expression.
Scenario, I ask you, damned stupid word. Drop it, use "situation".
Let's use Anglo-Saxon words.
