Guy Butters has called on the rest of the Albion team to take some of the goalscoring burden off Leon Knight.
The lethal striker is responsible for exactly half of the 38 League goals scored by Albion players this season.
Chris McPhee is next-best with four, one ahead of John Piercy and own goals.
Centre half Butters, who hit the woodwork with a volley against leaders Plymouth last Saturday, said: "I've only scored two this season, so I am a bit disappointed with that.
"I want to add to that tally. I think everyone has got to chip in.
"Leon has done magnificently up front, but I think if you look at most of the other teams in the division they have got two or three players who have scored ten goals plus. Everyone has got to help out."
Queens Park Rangers have been wobbling lately and Butters has not given up hope of Albion finishing in an automatic promotion place ahead of Saturday's trip to bottom club Wycombe Wanderers.
"There are still a lot of points to play for," he said. "We need to go on a really good run and stay unbeaten.
"We are looking for a play-off spot at the moment, but we want to win as many games as we can and if one of the top two slip up we will be ready to pounce."
Manager Mark McGhee is warning his players not to take Wycombe lightly, in spite of their 4-0 drubbing at Withdean on Boxing Day.
The Seagulls go to Buckinghamshire in good heart following consecutive home wins against Plymouth and Barnsley, but McGhee said: "If we treat Wycombe any differently then we could be in big trouble. We've got to treat them with the same seriousness.
"Our preparation has got to be focused. If we do that we have a chance of winning, if we do anything less then we will probably be beaten.
"We've got three away games from here. If we are still in the top six then I think we will have done well.
"Those two wins have put us right back in the pack, but there are still ten clubs or so all competing for those top places.
"I don't think the result last Saturday will change Plymouth's fortunes. They will go on and win the division, but we can take a lot of confidence from that performance."
