Sussex 25-mile champion Steve Dennis is relishing his clash with London rider Tim Bayley at the weekend.
The Esat Grinstead rider will be one of the main challengers to Bayley (Arctic RT), winner of stage one of GS Stella's recent two-day time trial, in the Crawley CC 14.5-mile event at Faygate on Saturday.
Other top visitors include Londoner Tim Stevens (34 Nomads), Kingston's Stuart Jardine (21st Century Airports) and Malcolm Horner from Warrington RC.
Sussex ace Sean Yates will be away managing the CSC professional team, but his brother Christian (In Gear) could spring a surprise.
The headquarters is Faygate Village Hall and the start is at 2pm.
Jardine and Horner have also entered the Central Sussex CC 25-mile event on Sunday. Steven Geran (GS Stella) heads the Sussex entry. It will be Geran's first ride of the year. The HQ is Ashurst Village Hall and the start is 9am.
Welsh international Julian Winn (Pinarello) returned from racing with a British team in Majorca to win the 70km Perf Road Race in Hampshire. Although the sun shone the temperatures were among the lowest in the event's 39-year history.
Winn raced into Rowlands Castle 12 seconds ahead of the pack. Brighton's Mitre's Stuart Fahey rode well to finish 31st, just 25 seconds behind Winn. Mitre's Toby Leyton was 42nd.
The newly-formed Crawley Cycling Club have ambitious plans for their Crawley town centre races on May 16. The main event over one hour, plus ten laps, will have a first prize of £500.
