A Hove-based print specialist has won a contract to print Ideal Home magazine, which could net millions of pounds.

It is a huge lift for Wyndeham Press Group, based in Hove Street, which last year recorded a £1.1 million drop in profits.

The rolling contract with publishers IPC starts next month and will be worth more than £1 million a year.

Ideal Home has an average print run of 400,000 copies a month. They will be printed by group subsideries Wyndeham Heron and Wyndeham Impact.

Wyndeham group manager Paul Utting said: "The new sales strategy of offering the full service of the Wyndeham Press Group to customers has started well, with existing relationships already being strengthened."

Wyndeham, which prints specialist magazines and commercial brochures, is restructuring its nine businesses after pre-tax profits fell from £3 million to £1.9 million last year.

Debbie Read, production director at IPC Southbank, said: "We like the strategic direction that the Wyndeham group is taking and would like to develop our relationship."
