Defender Steve Dell could have played his last game for Eastbourne Borough.
Dell, who is on loan from Wycombe until March 8, went off with a hamstring injury after just two minutes during Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Crawley.
He is definitely out of tonight's Sussex Senior Cup quarter-final against Rye and Iden United at Priory Lane (7.30pm) and looks likely to miss the rest of the season.
Manager Garry Wilson said: "We think he might have torn his hamstring so he won't play for a while. He will go back to Wycombe so their physio can have a look and then we will have to see where we stand."
Rye are looking to reach the semi-finals for the second successive year and are confident of causing an upset. They have lost just once in 17 games, beat County League leaders East Preston 2-0 on Saturday and are six points off the top of the County League.
Wilson has agreed to let striker Mark Goodwin stay on loan at Hastings for another month.
Chichester have signed goalkeeper Rob Mitchell on loan from Winchester City. He is expected to play against Three Bridges in the RUR Cup semi-final at Wick tonight.
