Lewes missed a chance to go top of division one south after defeat at third placed Dulwich Hamlet.
The kick-off was delayed by 45 minutes after a series of mishaps involving the Lewes players' coach but despite this Steven King's men made a bright start and on 11 minutes Lee Newman pounced on a fumble by Dulwich keeper Lee Ward to score his 29th goal of the season.
However, within ten minutes goals from Craig Dundas and David Moore had given the home side the lead.
Dulwich's victory was sealed by second half efforts from Dundas and substitute Charlie Side.
