A man stabbed to death and pushed from the top of a 450ft cliff in a plastic barrel has been named by police.
Orville Donovan Gordon, 39, was found at the foot of Beachy Head, near Eastbourne, on January 17.
Sussex Police said Mr Gordon was a Jamaican national thought to have been living in Brixton, south London.
Officers working on the inquiry, codenamed Operation Dundee, have arrested a 34-year-old south London man in connection with the murder.
He has been released on bail pending the results of forensic tests.
Three other suspects are believed to have left the country.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony O'Donnell, leading the inquiry, said: "I am pleased we have finally identified this poor man.
"He met his death in tragic circumstances and I hope with this breakthrough we can bring his killers to justice.
"From our inquiries in the Brixton area it is clear a number of people know what happened in this case but are unwilling to talk to police. I would urge these people to reconsider."
The victim's identity was confirmed by dental records.
Mr Gordon's family has been informed of his death.
Last week police announced that blood found at an empty restaurant in Brixton had been DNA-matched to the dead man. It is believed he was murdered there.
Mr Gordon was found with his hands and feet tied together and a bag over his head.
His body had been forced into the barrel after a savage attack.
Detectives remain unclear about the motive for the killing but said Mr Gordon was a cocaine user and drugs might have played a part.
