Two out of three people have turned down a job offer because prospective employers failed to impress them at interviews, a report has revealed.
Many jobseekers complained that organisations failed to make enough effort during an interview.
Scruffy managers or offices, unread CVs and flirting by managers topped the list of complaints.
One woman said her potential employer had commented on the size of her breasts and another said the interviewer kept steering the conversation towards sex.
One interviewer took three personal calls on his phone and dictated two letters.
A survey of 4,400 jobhunters by recruitment firm reed.co.uk showed two out of three people had accepted posts based on good impressions of an organisation they had gained while being interviewed.
A good office environment and a challenging job were among the factors that impressed recruits.
