Women believe the long hours and stress of motherhood would merit a six-figure salary if it was a paid occupation.
The average mother performs more than 15 jobs looking after children and the home and has just an hour and 45 minutes to herself each day, a Littlewoods Extra poll found.
Nine out of ten women said motherhood was more demanding than any previous job and their average "wish wage" was £18.80 an hour - a salary of £75,300.
Littlewoods Extra said: "As they don't get weekends off, the job warrants a six-figure salary."
