My wife and I visited Brighton on Sunday, March 7.
Our first experience after parking at the NCP car park off Blackman Street was a group of about ten drug addicts openly plying their trade in the car park and a bunch of winos.
On bringing this to the attention of the car park attendant, his reaction was that it was a normal occurrence. Naturally, there was not a police officer to be seen.
Making our way on foot to the Churchill Square shopping area, all we saw were rows of houses with overflowing rubbish sacks outside, weirdo people, countless scruffbags and apparent drug addicts.
Our friends had told us they no longer visit Brighton and now we know why. We will not be back and nor, presumably, will many tourists.
How can you let a once lovely, pleasant tourist town deteriorate so?
You obviously do not care.
