Randy Duck has set his sights on helping Brighton Bears lift the British League title.
The Bears skipper is encouraged by his progress after a hernia operation and has refused to rule himself out of the run-in although coach Nick Nurse was counting him out of the rest of the season.
Bears are three wins from the title and also have the play-offs to look forward to, starting at the Brighton Centre on April 17.
Duck said: "I'm up and around now and I'm coming out of it fairly quickly.
"It seems like the only places I'm having discomfort is where they actually went inside me."
