Can I address the thieving toerags in a red VW hatchback car who pulled on to the pavement to steal some of the daffodils from the grassy bank at the top of Dyke Road Avenue, Hove at about 4.30 p.m. last Saturday afternoon.
Please note the following: Firstly, I took note of your number plate and vehicle details and passed them on to both the council and police.
Secondly, and most importantly, I hope you remembered to wash your hands - and the daffs - before proudly presenting them to one of your mothers on Mother's Day.
Why? Because I would think twice about picking any flowers from there given the dozens of dogs that routinely pee and defecate over the area during their regular daily walks.
Remember - the flowers around the city are there for the pleasure of all, not for taking by thieving sods like you.
