I am disgusted at the news Sussex Icerink in Brighton may well be turned into a housing development.

I used the ice rink every fortnight and have many friends that did the same until it was closed while awaiting new management.

As it is one of the few leisure facilities available to young people in this area and the only ice rink closer than Guildford, it would be a disaster should it be replaced by housing.

Young people need a variety of entertainment facilities and although there are skate ramps, cinemas and amusement arcades, these are not for everyone.
