Mark Watson has been released by Lewes after failing to make an impression at the Dripping Pan.
The former West Ham and Bournemouth striker has been allowed to leave after scoring just three goals since arriving from Woking in November.
Watson has spent most of his time at Lewes on the substitutes' bench due to the excellent form of Lee Newman, Marc Whiteman and, more recently, Warren Haughton.
With Haughton facing a disciplinary hearing for comments made to the referee following the recent defeat to Windsor, manager Steven King is hoping to sign another striker for the run-in.
Centre back Ochea Ipka has been signed from Croydon while teeenage defender Karim el-Salaki is back at the club from Crystal Palace.
Kirk Watts (suspension) and Joe Vines (ankle injury) miss tomorrow's home match with Croydon Athletic.
