Manager Gary Croydon believes Burgess Hill have proved it is possible to win games with kids in the eastern division.
The Hillians came from behind to beat fellow promotion-chasers Stamford 2-1 at Leylands Park despite being without four key players.
Captain Ben Andrews (suspended), Adie Downey (ill), Ashley Carr and Nicky Sullivan (both unavailable) were all missing.
Croydon filled the gaps with players who have come through the youth team, including debutant Owen Callaghan.
The selections looked a gamble after ten minutes when Gareth Pritchard put Stamford ahead with a header.
But Hillians hit back on 25 minutes when a cross by Callaghan was turned in at the second attempt by Tom Edmonds for his first senior goal. Steve Harper scored the winner six minutes after half time when he headed home his 27th of the season.
Croydon, who was sent from the dug-out during the game, said: "The youngsters played without fear and we should have won by more.
"It's great to see so many coming through and to get a result as well leaves everyone at the club thrilled."
