I have come up with a plan for a combined pier and football stadium on the seafront.
It features some excellent additions, such as running the whole structure on rails, rather like the "Daddy-Long-Legs" that once ran along the beach to Rottingdean.
The solution to several planning issues in one, I present: The Brighton and Hove Albion and West (& East) Pier Steam and Electric TramRoad.
Travel up and down the seafront while watching The Albion or promenade along the pier.
And, with a little extra engineering, The Albion could be "in Europe" whenever they felt like it.
