Whoever wins Tuesday night's division one south derby between Worthing and Lewes will win the title, according to Rebels manager Alan Pook.
Victory for Worthing at Woodside Road would put them a point ahead of Lewes, the current leaders, with a game in hand.
The Rooks will move three points clear at the top if they win with two games remaining.
The game has been given an extra-edge after two fiery encounters between the clubs this season.
Pook said: "The match is never going to be just three points, it's much more than that. Whoever wins, will win the title."
Lewes boss Steven King said: "It's just another game. It's important that we get points from it, but that's the case with every game we play at this stage of the season."
Top scorer Sam Francis is back for Worthing after a bout of food poisoning. Midfielder Junior Kadi starts for Lewes after missing four games through suspension and injury.
