Hastings manager Steve Lovell says he can forgive his players for a disappointing defeat at Burnham.
The home side were 2-0 up inside ten minutes through Roger Emms and Jon Horsted.
Russell Eldridge halved the arrears on 18 minutes with a curling free kick, but Daryl Jones killed the game off for Burnham five minutes after half time.
Lovell said: "We were due a poor performance because we have played very well over the last eight games.
"I wasn't happy about it, but I can't be too hard because overall we have looked good lately."
