Cranking out hit after hit from their delicious, self-titled debut album, the flamboyant New York five piece couldn't have been anymore in our faces if they tried.

Anthems such as Comfortably Numb, Take Your Mama Out, Laura and Filthy/Gorgeous kept us hooked in and bouncing on a wave of catchy choruses while lyrically leading us through subject matter as diverse as coming out, crystal meth and the effect New York mayor Rudy Giuliani's clean-up campaign had on the city's gay community.

Support act The Ping Pong Bitches obviously used up all their good ideas thinking up a name.

Their whooping over synthetic Euro trash beats was embarrassing to watch. A disappointing start to an otherwise amazing gig.
