The Famous Spiegeltent, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday May 6 and 8-9

An award-winning country singer and satirist, Tina C returns to Brighton to perform her highly individual take on American history.

Following the well-received Twin Towers Tribute and Lifestyle Guru shows at Komedia last year, these three evenings of comedy and song will chart the USA's turbulent past right up to the present day.

As the presidency of George W Bush alone could fill an entire show, this massive undertaking is sure to be a whistlestop tour of the country's major events and characters.

Taking in the relationship between the Pilgrim Fathers and Native Americans, the Declaration of Independence and the Civil War, the Watergate scandal and the sexual relations of Bill Clinton, Tina C is surely the only woman capable of turning a power block into a cabaret show.

This Southern belle/beau from Tennessee, however, is actually the creation of Chris Green, the UK comic whose other guises include Ida Barr.

Part singer, part actress and part comic, Tina C displays the talents of a traditional entertainer with a 21st-Century twist.

You can expect an evening of outrageous comedy and toe-tapping songs hollered at full force: A show for those who love to be shocked and amused in the same breath.
