Once again there is a cruel and callous air gun attack on a defenceless animal (The Argus, May 3).
This sort of incident happens all too often. Isn't it about time the sale of air guns and rifles was banned?
What do people use them for anyway? I know so-called gun enthusiasts will write in and say they are for the pleasure of target shooting but why, if these people are so fond of this sport, don't they join a gun club where they can be properly regulated.
Unfortunately, the main use of air guns, in the hands of mindless, moronic hooligans, is to kill and injure innocent animals. Wake up, Parliament, and ban the use of these weapons soon.
