The shortage of nursing staff in Brighton and Hove will not be helped by emergency nurses having their pay cut by 25 per cent (The Argus, April 28).
The cut is being made by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust's outgoing chief executive Stuart Welling. He has described the measures as "uncomfortable".
These nurses are valuable to the trust and it should not be making these cuts in their wages.
Living in Brighton and Hove is expensive and the loss of this money will be felt by this very caring profession whether working full or part time.
