Oh, how I agree with Kevin Dale (Letters, May 15). Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan, the great Old Labour Welsh Statesman and pioneer of the National Health Service, would be swivelling in his grave to see New Labour Education Secretary Charles Clarke cosying up to the likes Brighton College's Anthony Seldon.
Nye said: "We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the road. They get run over."
St. John put it even more succinctly (Revelation 3v15): "So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot I will spew you out of my mouth."
