A recruitment agency has been nominated as one of the most progressive employers of disabled people in the country.
Searchlight Workshops, based in Newhaven, is up for a Leading The Way award for companies who help disabled people realise their potential.
The company, which has been caring for the disabled - and employing them - for the last 75 years must now wait to see if it has been successful.
Manager David Bray said: "It would be wonderful recognition to those past and present whose efforts have made it all possible."
The awards are sponsored by recruitment agency Remploy, the UK's leading employer of disabled people.
