I have been associated with the Marina since 1985, when I first put a boat in there. When the idea of extending Brighton's Volks railway was suggested, everyone was for it.
It was to run from the Marina to the King Alfred leisure centre but, like most good ideas thought up for Brighton, did not happen.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Do not hold your breath about the monorail plan. There is no reason this could not be in place tomorrow except that the city planners will huff and puff till they blow the scheme down.
