Two high-flying businesswomen have been elected to the board of Sussex Enterprise.
Karen Silk, of Capital International, and Surinder Arora, of Arora International, will bring skills and experience to the county's largest organisation representing business.
Mark Froud, chief executive of Sussex Enterprise, said: "Both Karen and Surinder will be great assets. They have successful business careers and the knowledge they will pass on will be of huge benefit.
"Both built their businesses up from small beginnings and are excellent role models."
Capital International is a recruitment company based in Burgess Hill. It was quoted from 1998 to 2000 on the Independent on Sunday list of 50 fastest growing companies.
Arora International Hotel Group has four hotels at Gatwick, Heathrow and Manchester airports.
