It is no secret Brighton and Hove City Council is not flush with cash.
I am therefore led to question the wisdom of building an expensive monorail along the seafront. Surely we should concentrate on getting the existing infrastructure working properly first? By that I mean creating more bus lanes and an improved cycle network, including more places for locking bikes.
As for underground car parks and park-and-ride schemes, I thought the idea was to try to reduce car use - not increase it.
