So Nigel Tart considers that Shoreham Airport should not be expanded but turned into a stadium for the Albion together with a station (The Argus, July 11).
The airport has a fine history and apart from private flying facilities that are available and teaching, it is becoming an essential and viable commercial outlet alongside Gatwick and is good for the economy. It even has a war memorial.
I hope Shoreham Airport continues to expand, for it gives so much pleasure to so many people, not to mention the fine air displays.
