Maheta Molango today revealed he has completed his dream move by joining Albion.

The Swiss-born striker, 21, signed a three-year contract yesterday after a week-long trial.

Molango spent two years in the reserves at Atletico Madrid and joins Albion from German division two club Wacker Burghauseu.

He scored his fourth goal in three pre-season games in a 3-1 victory at Weymouth last night.

He said: "It has been my dream to play in England for a long time and I am so happy to have joined Brighton.

"The club, the city and all the supporters are great and I'm looking forward to trying to do good things next season.

"I believe we can do well if we all pull together because we have a young team and a young manager who all want to build a great project."

Molango is relishing playing alongside Leon Knight who scored two goals in John Waldock's testimonial at the Wessex Stadium.

He added: "I can say nothing new about Leon, because he is a great player.

"He is very intelligent and exciting and I think we will score goals together."

Former Wycombe midfielder Darren Currie started a week-long trial last night.

Manager Mark McGhee said: "I like him as a footballer.

"He's a terrific, skilful player but he has got to prove to us he can fit into the team."
