A father who offered to sell a kidney to help his disabled daughter walk is thrilled after she took part in her first abseil.
Peter Randall advertised his kidney on the eBay web site last year to try to raise £100,000 to send six-year-old Alice to Ingfield Manor School in Five Oaks, near Billingshurst.
Alice's plight touched the nation's hearts and enough donations flooded in to secure her a place at the school.
When Alice, who has cerebral palsy, started her first term she could barely walk. The Randalls have raised £65,000 to provide Alice with treatment. This was enough to cover the £57,000 fees for a year as a boarder at school.
But Mr Randall, from Kent, is still considering selling his kidney to raise a similar amount for Alice's second year.
Earlier this month Alice abseiled down a 120ft building.
Mr Randall said: "She has come on leaps and bounds."
To help pay for Alice's treatment, send cheques payable to Fund for Alice NGN Ltd, to the NI Treasury Department, Fleet House, Cygnet Park, Hampton, Peterborough, PE7 8FD.
