In calling for the resignation of the executive of the North Laine Traders Association (NLTA) over the failure of the appeal for the now famous round window shopfront in Gloucester Road, Penny Hajduk is clearly confusing the NLTA with the community association, a separate body that opposed the round window.
The organisation I work for has almost daily dealings with the NLTA. It is one of the most committed business associations in Brighton and Hove and has represented the interests of the business community with great skill and vision over the years.
What is more, the entire organisation is run by volunteers who freely give their time to serve the best interests of the city.
Far from resigning, the members of their executive should be given a medal (each).
