Steve Leigh went from villain to hero and then back to villain as champions Chichester fought back to claim a 3-3 draw with Eastbourne Town.

The visitors led 3-0 with 20 minutes to go thanks to goals from Shaun Loft (two) and Scott Price.

Leigh was held responsible for all three goals, prompting manager Adie Girdler to take him out of defence and push him into midfield.

The move paid immediate dividends as Leigh's free-kick set up Ben Hitchman to pull a goal back and then Leigh scored twice himself to level the scores, the second being a penalty after Roger Moore was brought down.

With seconds remaining Chichester could have snatched victory but Leigh missed a sitter.
